Venues National Trust for Scotland

The National Trust for Scotland was established in 1931 to act as guardian of the nation's magnificent heritage of architectural, scenic and historic treasures and to promote public enjoyment of them. In its care are 127 properties covering 76,000 hectares and representing much of the best of Scotland 's heritage.

Each year the Trust welcomes over 1.7 million visitors to those properties where numbers can be counted. It is estimated that as many again visit the countryside and open areas. The Trust, an independent charity, is the largest voluntary conservation body in Scotland . It depends for its support on donations, legacies and the subscription of its 260,000 members.

Some of its historic houses, castles and gardens are available for weddings and any other private function including dinners, ceremonies, photographic purposes and much more. From grand scale events to the most private gathering every National Trust for Scotland property will provide a breathtaking setting and most memorable experience only surpassed by helpful and courteous staff.

Functions can be held in the buildings or in marquees in the grounds. Catering can be arranged through The National Trust for Scotland or outside caterers.

Whatever the requirements are there is bound to be a solution to suit everybody involved.

Several properties also provide self-catering accommodation on their estate, which are ideal for an unusual getaway or can be used as for a holiday around the celebrations. Find out more
